Cahoots Studios is founded by Lucy Teire and Tom Bryant.
With an Oscar for the short film The Lost Thing and a degree in astrophysics, Tom brings creative flair, technical wizardry and 25 years of production experience to the partnership.
Having clocked up over 20 years producing animation for kids’ TV, commercials, and game cinematics, Lucy takes those big creative ideas and makes them a reality.
Together they can still make each other laugh, even when deadlines are looming, and are reliably the last to go home on studio nights out.
We’re not your average studio. Sure, we’ve got a core team of exceptional designers, animators, and CGI specialists, but what really sets us apart? We’ve built an army of insanely talented freelancers from every corner of the globe. They’re not just contractors – they’re part of the Cahoots family.
We don’t need a big in-house team because we’re smart enough to call in the right talent at the right time. Need big? We’ve got the power to scale up quickly. Multi-episode series? No sweat. No matter the job, we know exactly how to deliver it at the highest level – creatively and technically.
We live by one rule: creative-first. We’re flexible, adaptable, and we thrive on building the perfect team for every challenge. If that’s not enough, we’re ready to tackle anything the world throws at us, no matter the size. We’re all about pushing boundaries.

It’s no coincidence that we call Scotland home. This wild, beautiful, untamed land is where the magic happens. Inspired by the rugged highlands, the breath-taking landscapes, and the stories whispered through time, we can’t help but channel that energy into everything we do.
Lucy and Tom? Oh, they’re out in the mountains whenever they can. Tom adventuring in his trusty campervan, while Lucy’s usually in a tent (because why not?). We’re constantly inspired by the natural beauty that surrounds us – and you can see it in our work.
We’re based in Edinburgh – a city that’s as creative as it gets, filled with history, culture, and one of the world’s most vibrant arts festivals every August. So, if you’re ever in the area, don’t be a stranger. We’re always down for a dram or a coffee and a good ol’ blether.
